MBABANE:Themba Msibi, the Lubombo Regional Administrator (RA) and ex-Minister of Public Service and Information confirmed that, his former Personal Secretary Senzo Dlamini betrayed him after a disagreement but that does not mean he must not be employed as a Government Spokesperson.
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Wednesday, the Regional Administrator said, even though Dlamini betrayed him, he will never block life empowerment opportunities for a person he once worked with, he maintained that he “wants to see Senzo Dlamini growing and becoming successful in life”.
Journalist Senzo Dlamini went back to work for the Times of Eswatini after being fired by the then Public Service Minister “amid disagreement”.
But as he was fully aware of his personal secrets and lifestyle having worked for the then Minister as a Personal Secretary, he subsequently unleashed Times journalists to invade Kai Kai Centre and take pictures of Msibi who was relaxing with his girlfriend.
“In life disagreements happen but that does not mean you must then block opportunities for another person just because he/she wronged you. I worked with Senzo and if Government wants to employ him as a Spokesperson, he must be interviewed like others and he must be employed after passing the interviews. Wena-ke Dlamini satana kakhulu nawe noma ngisahlushwa ngu-Barnabas bofika lapha kimi ePhalamende uyi-journalist, mine nje ngiyakwati wena kutsi ucabanga njani, noma kungafika umuntfu kimi atsi “Zwemart unjena-unjena ngitawulalela kodvwa ngiyakwati. Na-Senzo ngiyamati we-Nkhosi sasebenta naye sehlulana, kodvwa ngeke sengicale ngitsi ngoba sehlulana naye, angasacashwa ngoba wangona mine, akwentiwa loko kulomunye umuntfu ngoba mhlawumbe nje wangenta loko langenta kona wabese soyafundza kutsi kubi, akwentiwa kanjena kumuntfu losebente naye noma ngabe anisaboni ngasolinye,” said the Lubombo Regional Administrator.
On another note, the former Public Service Minister said, even though he felt betrayed by his former Personal Secretary, he understood that some “people react differently” when bitter and then, correct their mistakes later.
“It is for these reasons I am saying, you cannot then block opportunities for another person just because, he/she wronged you years ago,” said the former Public Service Minister.
