MBABANE:Senzo Dlamini, the former Times of Eswatini journalist now Royal Science and Technology Park(RSTP) employee, is allegedly lobbying to be employed as a Government Spokesperson, sources told this Swaziland News.
This comes after Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini rejected Alpheous Nxumalo is facing child rape criminal charges.
“He wants to be a Government Spokesperson but there are concerns suggesting that, he cannot be trusted. Senzo Dlamini once worked as the Personal Assistant for former Minister of Public Service Themba Msibi and he ended-up knowing even his girlfriends as he was always next to his boss. But after some disagreements, Msibi fired him and he was re-employed by the Times and used the media to scandalize Msibi by tipping-off journalists to invade Kai Kai and take pictures of Msibi while relaxing with his girlfriend. So there are concerns in Cabinet that, he will disclose private secrets for Ministers,” said the source when speaking to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.
Efforts to seek a comment from the ex-Times journalist proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
The source further mentioned that, by attacking the editor, the ex-Times journalist was promoting himself for the position of Government Spokesperson.
