MBABANE:Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini is allegedly paying State controlled online publications to report positively about Government and Members of Parliament(MPs) are highly expected to question this expenditure.
An MP who asked not to be named confirmed the payment saying, the money was never approved by Parliament.
“He is using a budget under his Office and monies allocated for other projects to pay the online publications. So as Parliament, we will demand accountability but obviously MP Welcome Dlamini’s publication is benefiting he won’t question it, other MPs will question the Prime Minister,” said the MP when speaking to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.
Acting Eswatini Government Spokesperson Thabile Mdluli declined to comment about the matter.
On another note, the PM is allegedly funding some online publications including a State controlled publication owned by King’s Interpreter Sihle Dlamini, insulting other loyalists of the Tinkhundla system.
