MBABANE:Senzo Dlamini, the former Times of Eswatini journalist who tried to influence former Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Lutfo Dlamini not to speak to Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini says, he was the best and unmatched journalist while working for the Times and Observer.

Dlamini commented on the Swaziland News comment section after former Swazi Observer investigative journalist Thembela ‘Dima Katso’ commented saying “Senzo Dlamini was never much of a journalist”, this did not go down well with the now Royal Science and Technology Park (RSTP) employee who defended his previous career as a journalist.

“Dima Katso sewubhema insangu yini yemshana. Asewuye both Observer and Times ubuke ema exclusive lead stories and awards kwekungukutsi anganani. Unmatched record. Journalism has gone to the dogs ngiko kunale nonsense lena lo-comment kuyo,” he said.

Senzo Dlamini resigned as a journalist to work for the Technology Park, sources said “he is reportedly considering bouncing back to the media due to frustration as his payslip suggests that he earns around four thousand Rands (R4,000.00) after deductions”.

The RSTP employee allegedly clashed with the former Minister in a Whatsap Group for Tinkhundla loyalists, he questioned Lutfo Dlamini why he was speaking to the Swaziland News editor.

But Dlamini told the RSTP employee that he will continue speaking to ‘Zwemart’ saying he “believes in constructive engagements” with those holding different political views.

The debate continued in the Tinkhundla loyalists WhatsApp group, former Minister Lutfo Dlamini challenged the Technology Park employee to first question former Prime Minister Absalom Themba Dlamini, King’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane, Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini, Elections Commission Chairman Prince Mhlabuhlangene why “they are responding” to Zwemart.

“Asewubute naba kucala kutsi bamkhulumiselani bese uyabuya-ke utobuta mine. Kumele ngingamkhulumisi leni. Ngekutsi wena awumkhulumisi?” the former Minister asked.
